Standing / Special Committees

Folsom Eagle members pride themselves for stepping up and volunteering their time and talents by participating on any of the Aeries Standing Committees.  
Any member with specific talents or skills, that wishes to oversee or just volunteer on a committee, can truly be a hero with your Aerie. It may be just a couple hours in a months’ time or more often as you are willing and availablle.
Social Events
The Social Committee shall be responsible for planning and coordinating Eagle social activities such as Bingo or Bunco nights, holiday events such as Easter & Christmas breakfast, sports events, special charity events etc. The Social committee also aids in creating a community spirit among the Aerie through the other special events.
Social Room / Bar
Assists Trustees with many of the duties of the overall duties of the Social Room area. Including organizing, stocking, barback or bartending. All bartenders must be properly certified according to liquor licensing and insurance requirements.
Social Media
Volunteer takes on the task of creating and publishing weekly event updates & event Notifications utilizing Facebook, Instagram, emails, outgoing voice/text messaging, quarterly newsletters . Assists in the communication to all members events, meetings & general communications.
Webmaster
Takes on the role of facilitating, updating, and keeping current our Aeries website. Must have WordPress knowledge.
Kitchen
Assists Trustees with scheduled Aerie events cooking meals, purchasing food and general cleanup of the kitchen. Help organize cook wares and cooking tools.
Property Management
Assists Trustees/Property Manager with potential renters. Secures proper agreements & fees, payments and arranges renters to enter building at rental dates and times, confirms renters have proper set-up equipment and breakdown on the timely basis.
Building Maintenance
Assists Trustees and has a good building repair knowledge and assists with general building repair & maintenance. Works closely with Trustees.
Government / Legislative
Attends local business, city & political activities in the local area. Gets to know leaders in the area and participates in local events. i.e. Chamber of Commerce events, business mixers, political fun events.
Membership / Interviewing
Works closely with Worthy Vice-President & Aerie secretary and coordinates new member and renewing member enrollments. Effectively communicates and arranges new member orientations and initiation nights. Follows up with new members & their proposers before and after initiation night. Discusses new members committee(s) of interest and introduces them to the committee directors.
Health & Wellness Committee
Assist, create, generate & facilitate events that further the overall fitness and security of our members and community. This volunteer position will assist other committees such as Social Events & Government / Legislative committees outreach into our community. Events i.e. personal health & wellness fairs or business seminars.
Sick & Visiting Committee
Works closely with the Worthy Chaplin to visit or municate with the members at intervals during the continuance of the illness/injury and shall report their visits and condition of the members visited to Aerie at the next regular meeting.
Recognition Committee
Works closely with the Worthy Secretary charting time of service, birthdays, volunteer days and special remembrance activities. Prepares and presents special award plaques or items (shirts, hats, cards etc).
